How it works
Set up once in about two minutes.
Install on your PC
Run KeyShuttle.exe. It installs itself, starts at login and shows a pairing code.
Install on your Mac
Drag KeyShuttle to Applications, open it, allow Bluetooth and Local Network, and enter the code from your PC.
Switch
Press ⌃⌥⌘K. The first time, Windows may show a 6-digit code — type it on the Magic Keyboard. That's it.

Questions
Does it work with Touch ID Magic Keyboards?
Yes — typing works on both computers. Touch ID itself only works with a Mac, as Apple designed it.
Does it work with the Magic Mouse or Trackpad?
Not yet. KeyShuttle 1.0 moves the keyboard. Mouse and trackpad support is planned.
Do both computers need to be on?
Yes. Both need to be awake and on the same home or office network, so they can tell each other when to hand over the keyboard.
What if something goes wrong mid-switch?
Use “Bring Keyboard to This Mac/PC” from the menu with your mouse, or plug the keyboard into your Mac with its USB cable — it reconnects instantly.
Windows says “Windows protected your PC”.
That's SmartScreen, which is cautious about new apps. Click More info → Run anyway. The Mac app is signed and notarized by Apple.
What happens after the trial?
Switching with the shortcut stops until you enter a license key. You can always bring the keyboard back from the menu, so it never gets stuck.
